We design, fit and maintain rooftop arrays and batteries in Marlowe Heights and the surrounding valley. Fixed package prices, a named installer on site, and a service plan that keeps the output where we promised it.
Every price below is the whole job: panels, mounting, inverter, cabling, the electrical work, commissioning and the handover pack. No day rates, no surprise line items after the scaffold goes up.
Prices assume a pitched tile or standing-seam roof up to two storeys, a clear run for the cable and single-phase supply. The survey confirms all three before anything is ordered.
Flats, small terraces and low-use households.
The usual family house: 3–4 bedrooms, an EV on the drive.
Big roofs, heat pumps, workshops and small farm buildings.
Stores the middle of the day and gives it back at night.
Clipped along the full perimeter so nothing nests under the modules.
Half a dayNo penetrations through the membrane. Wind load calculated for the address.
With the installNew board, surge protection and a dedicated way for the inverter.
Half a dayFitted on the same visit and set to run on surplus generation first.
Half a dayUp the day before, down the day after. Included free on the 10 kW package.
3 days hireWe measure the roof, read the meter, check the loft run and photograph the board.
90 minutes · freeLayout, string plan and a yield estimate for your pitch and orientation.
Within 3 working daysOne crew, one lead installer, start to finish. The house keeps its power except for one 40-minute cut-over.
1–3 days on siteTest certificates, the monitoring app set up on your phone, and a walk round the isolators with you.
Same afternoonTwo identical roofs at different latitudes need different tilts and give back different amounts of energy. Drag the globe, move the latitude and the month, and watch the day length and the recommended tilt move with them.
Marlowe Heights sits at 41° N. The figures here are the simple geometric model we run before the survey, not a promise of yield — shading and roof pitch come out of the site visit.
This is the same arithmetic we put in your quote, made visible. Start with one string, add the next when the roof allows it, and let the clock run. Savings build up second by second; the bill line shows what the system has cost you so far.
Figures use a flat 18¢ per kWh and the yield we measure for a 41° N roof at a 35° pitch. Your own numbers replace them after the survey.
Held flat. Every real increase shortens the payback, so we never model one.
What our own monitored roofs in this valley returned last year.
Without a battery. With one it rises, and the model above is the cautious case.
Module warranty floor, applied from the first year rather than the fifth.
Soiled glass, a loose MC4 connector or a single shaded module can quietly take a fifth of the year's output. We clean, test and re-torque, and we tell you what the numbers did afterwards.
We service arrays we did not install. The first visit includes a condition report whether or not you stay with us.
For systems up to 10 kW. Larger arrays are quoted per module after the first visit.
Deionised water, telescopic brush, no detergent on the glass.
90 minutesInsulation resistance, string voltages, isolator and earth checks, torque audit.
2 hoursFan and filter, error log, firmware, and a string-by-string comparison.
1 hourDiagnosis on site. Waived if the fault is ours and the array is under warranty.
Within 48 hoursClearing out what has moved in first, then mesh along the full perimeter.
Half a daySUNFIELD started as two electricians and a hired van. The first job was a 3 kW array on a farmhouse off Kilnbrook Way that is still monitored on our wall today. It has lost four per cent of its output in eleven years, and we quote that number at every survey because it is the only honest way to talk about what lasts.
We are eleven people now: four installers, two roofers, a designer who does nothing but string plans and shade studies, two on the service vans, and the pair who still answer the phone. Everyone who comes to your roof is employed here. We do not subcontract the install, and the lead installer who quotes the job is the one who turns up.
We work in a 40-mile radius and no further. A service promise you cannot keep by driving there in the morning is not a promise.
Reviews are collected after the first full year, not on the day of the install, because the first year is the one that matters.
They found a shading problem our previous quote had ignored and moved four modules to the west slope. First summer came in nine per cent above their own estimate, which I did not expect from anyone.
Two days, two people, and the drive was swept before they left. What sold me was the survey: he went into the loft, photographed the board and told me the consumer unit needed doing before he quoted anything.
They did not install ours and still took the service plan. The array had never been cleaned in four years. Output went up by about a sixth after the first visit, and they sent the before and after readings without being asked.
Come and stand under a mounted array before you buy one. We keep a working rig in the yard with a live inverter, a battery and a cut-away roof section so you can see exactly what ends up on your rafters.

The survey is free and carries no obligation. Tell us roughly what you have and when suits, and we will confirm an hour by email.
We will confirm the hour by email.
Sometimes, and we will tell you when it does not. A true north slope at this latitude loses roughly a third against south, which can still be worth doing on a large roof and is rarely worth doing on a small one. Shade is the harder problem: one module in shadow used to drag a whole string down, and optimisers fix most of that but not all of it. The shade study in the survey is what decides it, and a “no” from us costs you nothing.
Scaffold goes up the day before, drilling into the rafters is the loud part and lasts a couple of hours, and there is one supply interruption of about forty minutes while the board is worked on. We sheet the loft, sweep the drive and take every offcut away with us. On a 6 kW install the crew is on site two days and gone by five each evening.
Three separate things, and it is worth keeping them apart. The modules carry a manufacturer product warranty and a separate output warranty that sets a floor for year twenty-five. The inverter carries its own, usually ten years and extendable. Our workmanship warranty is ten years and covers everything we did with our hands: the fixings, the flashing, the cable runs and the board. If a leak appears where we drilled, that is ours to fix.
A battery raises how much of your own generation you actually use, and on most households that moves self-use from around sixty per cent to somewhere near eighty-five. Whether it pays back depends entirely on what you are charged for import and what you are paid for export, and those two numbers move. We model the array with and without one and show you both, rather than bundling it in and hoping you do not ask.
