Our story

A small bar that runs like clockwork.

Orbit started in 2017 as a two-group espresso machine and a pastry case on Meridian Street. We still work the same way: four people, seven stations, and every cup handed from one pair of hands to the next.

The scene at the top of this page is our actual floor plan. The barista pulls shots, the runner carries them out, the baker keeps the case full and the busser keeps the cups coming back clean. It is how we keep the line under six minutes at 8 a.m.

How late can I place an order ahead?

Until 20 minutes before closing. Pickup slots every 15 minutes; if you pick "as soon as possible" we aim for about 10 minutes.

Do you have plant-based milk and gluten-free options?

Oat, almond and soy milk are always on the bar for +$0.60. The blueberry oat muffin is vegan; we bake one gluten-free item daily, but our kitchen is not certified gluten-free.

Can I work from the café?

Yes. Free Wi-Fi and power outlets along the window bench. On weekends from 10:00 to 14:00 we ask laptop guests to keep it to 90 minutes.

Do you supply coffee to offices or restaurants?

We roast wholesale for 14 local businesses. Email hello@orbitcoffee.example with your weekly volume and we will send a tasting kit.
